TOTO Minute: Pickin' Strawberries

December 30th, 2009

We're happy to introduce TOTO Minutes, our newest way to let you know what's going on inbetween episodes and posts. Today we went to Hunsader Farms, a you-pick-em farm where we got to pick our own strawberries!

As we walked around the fields I realized again how much I would love to live on my own farm. I've always wanted to buy a million acres, build a home and start a farm from the ground up. I hope Hunsader Farms knows how much of a cool thing they have going! We were welcomed by a small market with jams, jellies, butters, boiled peanuts, fresh produce and more. We passed corn fields, a pumpkin cannon mounted on an old fire truck, and blueberry fields which should be open in April! The 20ish strawberries we picked was only $2 and they didn't even make it back home (we ate them all in the car on the way home), so next time we'll pick a whole lot more! When we were all done we walked around the petting farm and enjoyed the animals.
