The highest mountain in South Dakota (7200ft or 2,208m) and we hiked it! In 3 hours we made it to the highest point in the US east of the Rocky Mountains. At the top we enjoyed a picnic in the shade of the fire lookout tower. We were a bit worried that the dog would chase a chipmonk off the edge of the summit so we kept her on a very short leash!
